What’s the difference between a certification and a certificate program?
Certification differs from certificate programs by requiring verified experience and education, ongoing recertification to stay current in HR, and the ability to use your professional designation after your name. In short, certification represents the three Es: Education, Experience, and Examination. All HRCI certifications are developed and administered according to industry-recognized standards, and all programs (except the aPHRi) are accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA).
